Here is a set of purple and green wine glass coasters I made for a christmas present. I added a special one for the wife who is a breast cancer survivor.

set of 8 in purples and greens

These are beautiful! I've made some like this that look like a 4patch and I've also folded the fabric into a triangle and made ones that look like hourglass blocks. Have you done any of those? It's done the exact same way only using the triangle fold. I like to take 4 and tie a ribbon (or if done in country fabrics a piece of ripped fabric) around them and give them as hostess gifts or anytime I need a small gift.

Those look greaYou just set the wine glass on top, right?(the base of the glass doesn't tuck in the folds, does it?)

yes, with just a quick twist, the base of the glass goes into the folds and is tucked safely there.

This pattern works well for making hotpads .... just use 7" squares, folded,
and assemble in same manner. Another quickie "thank you" gift.
