I'm wondering if anyone might know the name of this block. I saw it in a quilt, in an advertisement so no info was given. Anybody have an answer?

I didn't find one exactly like this. I found 3 similar ones: Farmer's Daughter, Sister's Choice and Weathervane.

It looks almost like a Prairie Star or a Prairie Gem. Look earlier today in the Unread Topics and you will see an entry for Prairie Gem finished. It is very similar.

I also know it as Weathervane. In this case, it looks like it's set on point.

Hi JodiMae, I just got my issue of QUILTER'S WORLD (June) and they have the instructions & measurements for making a wall hanging that looks very much like the block you have in your request. They call it Weathervane Stars. They also have another wall hanging that looks a little like it called Summer Shimmer. In fact, this issue has quite a few very neat quilts, it's the best issue I've seen in months. Good luck with whichever quilt you decide to make.

It's not a Prairie Gem.
