Very nice! Love the fabrics!

How long did it take? What size block are you making?

Hope you post a pic of the finished quilt!!

You are very motivating here! I saw your block and decided I'd better get with it! I made my first scrappy block tonight.
I used a page from a magazine for the foundation. Magazine paper rips very nicely and I have a ton of them! Oh, and don't forget those catalogs!

I visited a while back

http://quiltville.com/scrapusersystem.shtml

and saw Bonnie's scrap user system. I love it! I started doing this too a few years back and it was so nice tonight to just reach in and grab a pre-cut strip and slap that baby onto the block to sew. Quick and easy! I had my first block done in about 10 minutes! Whoopee! I'm planning to do at least one every time I go into the sewing room since they are so fast and easy. Should have a quilt in no time at all!
Thanks for the motivation!

Karla, I love your idea of using the same fabric for the center piece of each block. It will tie everything together beautifully. By the way, your fabrics are beautiful!!
