Default NEED ADVICE: pinwheel or plain cornerstone?

Hello--these 17 inch embroidery blocks were done 30 years ago and I'm attempting to put them all together for a friend and make a full-size quilt. A pale yellow embroidery is used sparingly throughout the blocks which you probably can't see and I am using a thin yellow border next to the larger green border.

QUESTION: What looks better for the cornerstones?: yellow/white 3 inch pinwheels or just plain white squares? Any advice is appreciated. Need to use these colors since person already picked them out. Thanks!

I like the plain white. If pinwheels were darker it would add something but they seem too pale.

I prefer the white. The embroidered blocks are the focus points and should remain so. Just my opinion.

Are you using the yellow that is on the side with about that width of border showing? If so, I think I'd do the cornerstones as one yellow piece.
