this is the pinwheel quilt that I'm working on and not sure what to in the edge pieces if I should make them solid or try to make pinwheels for there also. I'm having to get more material even to make enough pinwheels.

it depends on if you want to do a large quilting design in those areas. Me, i'd do more pinwheels to fit there.

I am kind of leaning towards a solid border so that it doesn't overwhelm the middle and take away from it .

The other quilt is also awesome !

How about filling in a little with the pin wheels and making it have a scalloped border?

that sounds neat except I've never done a scalloped border. Do you think that dark flower that I'm using is to bright for the rest of the material.

If you are talking about the orangy material in the bigger sashing, I think it works great. Pulls everything together and gives it a pop!

I am a huge sucker for a wavy border. Make sure you cut the binding on the bias, and you should be fine. Not that I have done it...

Love your colors. If you're going to keep these blocks on point, I sure would be tempted to go with more pinwheels. I think the triangles with pinwheels would really add a unique element to your design.

Oh, I love the red sashing with it....if it were mine...I'd use solid blocks there so I could do some special quilting in them...but either way you decide will look great! You are doing a great job!
