Hello,
Look at these lovely blocks, I believe these are about 50 years old or older, my husbands grandmother gave them to me, I would really like to put these blocks together, I have 20 of them. Do I applique or fuse to a square block background and then attach the blocks? what would be the best way of putting these together for a quilt. I'm a little intimidated by these because they are so precious.
Thank you for looking
Elaine

Bummer! no pictures.
One idea would be to create wall hangings out of them, dividing the blocks up into the smaller creations so that the family could have a rememberance of great-grandmother/grandmother/mom/auntie/.
We know that the family who isn't into this would just pass the blocks off, but they might gain an appreciation of what you and grandmother have done by your heritage gift.
