I am fairly new to quilting, so I welcome advice from others who know so much more than I do. I'd like to make a lap quilt for my son using this fabric. All I can think of doing with it is to make squares with frames.Could I get some ideas on how you would use this fabric? I'd appreciate any ideas. Thanks.

You could do a warm wishes quilt, or alternate a large block of this with a nine patch block of similar colors.

You know I really like that piece and personally I would have a hard time cutting that one up. Could you use it as a center panel and then some cool borders and just quilt the top as is?

I like this idea too...a center panel then some borders around it and this could even be one of the outer borders if you have enough of it!! You would get a great show of the planes doing this.

I would just cut big squares of it out and frame them in two different colors(like red and black) so you could alternate the red and black bordered blocks.
It is wonderful fabric and it is hard to cut those kind up.
