This is the quilt i'm still working on. It was a gift for my grown-up son's Christmas LAST year! It is the most difficult quilt that I've ever designed and made. I will NEVER make another like it! Each year, my kids tell me what kind of quilt they would like me to make for them. This 28 year old always chooses something way off the grid. This year, he's getting a simple Monopoly quilt that I've chosen for him! He's seen parts of this as I work, and I told him that I would try to have this ready when he visits me for my birthday in a few weeks. This quilt makes me very discouraged when I look at the work I still have to do, but I am starting to see the end of it!
It's from an old video game called Q-Bert, and I still have to add some more monsters.

And here are 2 pics of the back, which I have finished

The back squares are made from orphan blocks and blocks that I have messed up on, and a few crumbs.

It does look complicated. I know what you mean. I am trying to finish a king size and I am so tired of looking at it!!! :-D

I think it is a lot of work but I think it is really, really a neat quilt.

You can do it! Maybe set a time each day to work a bit. If you work a little longer it will go faster! Just imagine it done and on his bed and his smiling face.

He's already told me he can hardly wait, and he said it will be good timing for cold weather. I know he really appreciates my quilts. He said he walks around his apartment wrapped in them for a few weeks, every time he gets another one.

I love the back! It's a quilt in itself.
Maybe make a checklist, with the remaining work broken down into smaller goals. It feels so good to some of us when we can cross off something finished, even if it is just one block.

Beautiful quilt. The worst is over. Plan to do a bit 3 or 4 times a week. You can do it. We are all behind you. Looking forward to a picture of the finished quilt.

This quilt is fabulous! What a masterpiece!

Keep on chugging, you've done the hardest part. Keep saying, "I think I can, I think I can".
