I want to make a twin sized quilt for my DGS who is 10 and loves penguins. I have 1 1/2 yds. of each piece. The largest penguin is 4" tall so I will need a pattern with a larger block to show them off. I really like the patterns done in "bricks" (I think they are called) and strips. Thanks for your help. I'm sure you will come through with great ideas. Looking forward to seeing what they are.

I've always liked this one to show off fussy cut fabrics. A plus...it's super simple and fun because they go together so fast and easily.

Thank you. Something like that is what I had in mind. I will keep looking at everyone's suggestions and let you know which I decide on.

The penguins would look really cute in a "Turning 20 Around the Block" quilt. Plus, you can totally finish one in a day. Fast and fun!!
