I cannot take credit for this idea. I read about recently in a quilting magazine. I used a flannel backed tablecloth (bought on sale), reinforced the vinyl side with duct tape, added gommets to it and hung it on adhesive backed hooks on one of the sliding doors that hides the stash. Each of the doors is six feet wide by about 5-1/2 feet tall so the design wall is big enough to manage a larger quilt. Also, the wall is portable. I can roll it up and take it with me when necessary.
I love it. What do you think?

Just about HALF the Stash that needs Protecting!

I think that's a very clever thing! I'm thinking I could do that and hang it up temporarily on hooks, as my hubby would not put up with it being up on the family room wall all of the time.

But I'm not sure I understand the duct tape. Did you just do the edges, or the whole vinyl side?

I used the duct tape to reinforce the top of the vinyl side of the tablecloth, particularly since I was concerned that the grommets might not manage the weight of the thing really well. I also reinforced the bottom to give it some weight so that it would not "fly about".
Hope this explanation makes sense.
I just noticed too that we added the white valance at the top of the doors to hide what I thought was the ugly mechanical metal looking deal that helps those doors stay in place and slide.
