I love them. I usually don't like novelty fabrics-don't know how to use them. But I LOVE gnomes!! I'm going to be one of your crazy neighbors with gnomes all over her yard and garden!! OMG if I walked into a fabric store and saw these I'd think I died and went to heaven.
Now you all know how nuts I am!!

Makes me think of The Amazing Race when they have to find the Travelosity Gnome. :-)

ok this mushroom one with the polka dots has hope. Wish they looked like that book that came out what 20 yrs ago on Gnomes? so much cuter .. The colors are still in a mode that is vintage like without being old fashioned (which is cute).. must be the colors of the new year? egad. Time to shop now before the good stuff is all gone!

I love gnomes and so did my mother. The last few years of her life she started to buy a lot of them to be outside one of her windows and amonst the plants in her patio. I used to drive up (9 hours if the cops weren't out) and take her shopping and do what ever she needed help with that she didn't want to ask the caretakers to as she was in an assisted living facility. We would go shopping and buy new plants and gnomes, and she had them all named and she would instruct me as to where they should be and we spent hours positiing them in the exact locations and then she would make up stories about what they were saying to each other and it was fun for both of us. Now I have her collection in my back yard and it brings back fond memories. Mother was in a wheel chair and could not do a lot of things and now I am beginning to know what she was going through.

I am a UK transplant in Aus...I love gnomes (but not in my garden). The first pics are more my cup of tea ...I like my fantasy characters to be "traditional" rather than modern or comic. Thanks for sharing your story Barb, I can imagine your Mother's little friends must give you much cheer on a grey day.
