New project, quilt with embroidery

I know better than to make a visit to my LQS.. I always find a new project, even when I dont need one...and I sure dont need one right now.. .still have a ton of sewing to do for the wedding in two weeks, but...

here is the newest new project.. this is only the first block, but I wanted to show you how it turned out. The original is done in beige and white, but I think winter is more blue, so this is my version.

There are 14 different sets of blocks with embroidery around a center of pieced blocks.

The embroidery is done by hand...

It looks like it will be beautiful and I like it with the blue. You do beautiful embroidery.

I love this look! With the embroidery overlapping the quilt block, it gives the block a softer look. I like your color choice too, very winter.
