My niece has started a new blog where she designs crafts and gives the instructions on making them. I decided this little wall hanging or table topper was just the thing to try this last week. It was fun to do and I got to try my hand at applique - by machine, of course. I can't lower my feeddogs and I don't have a very big throat on my sewing machine so I didn't meander quilt but I got it tacked down enough. I think it's a cutie.

It is cute. In a quilting class I took, the instructor said that if you can't lower the feed dogs, you can put tape over them and it will be the same as if the feed dogs are lowered. Just a suggestion if you want to try it.

Thanks Sherry. I just may try that someday. Hadn't thought of trying that. So many tricks you learn on this board. Fun!
