Thanks everyone! I always use 987F fleece and Decor Bond in my purses. Both can be purchased at Joann's.

The flower was easy to make.

    For flower:

    *Cut fabric 42" x 4"

*Fold in half, lengthwise, with RIGHT sides together. Stitch ends in 1/4" seam.

*Turn RIGHT side out. Press. To gather, machine stitch 1/4" from raw edge, using a long machine stitch.
Pull up gathers as tightly as possible. Fasten thread ends securely.

*To form flower, starting with one end, turn strip in a spiral, making smaller spirals on tope and tacking flower as you
    taper end at center.

Just wondering where the raw edge is if we sewed RST and turned right side out. Do you mean 1/4" in from one of the ends??

Had a little idea.....how would it work to use 2 fabrics. Cut them at 21/4" each, sew them RST and turn rightside out etc. You would have a two-toned flower.

Yeah, it says sew 1/4" on the ends. Like the two-toned flower idea. I actually wanted to make this one with the two fabrics but then just went with the one.

Thanks joysewer. I have the direction written so after the wedding I'll give it a whirl. Might make a good Christmas gift, made into a pin too. Oh my mind needs to shut down for the night. lol
