Yesterday I received a fabulous gift...a new sewing machine!! It came all the way from new York courtesy of Marida! Someone else chipped in to pay the shipping...a big thank you to that person/persons! She also sent along a bag of goodies! Everything I needed to start sewing and then some. I am still confused with which foot is what and the drop in bobbin is new to me. I haveyet to attempt to change the foot..I will probably do that tomorrow! Tonight I just played with the different stitches. It is going to make an interesting dog blanket for Lacey Jane!! It's flannel in a purple camo pattern and now its got weird decorative stitching in the seams where I hemmed the raw edge to keep it from fraying. Oh well, she won't care! It was fun to play thouigh! This weekend I hope to go fabric shopping after the funeral. We shall see. We are also going to see a movie...How to tame your dragon. It looks good ansd I think Adrian will really like it. I'll give a review later on!!

Quilters are the most caring and giving people! I'm so sorry for your loss, but am amazed and humbled at the kindness of your quilting angels. They are rock stars!

You will love the machine. I have one like it and I have lots of fun with the different stitches and I just love the button hole foot.

That is just awesome. You must have lots of angels watching over you. I'm glad you can get started sewing again. It will be good therapy.
