Default New way to quilt

Ok, so I bought six of Pam Bono Books lol. I had to try it just one time. Her patterns are involved. It's like paper piecing, only you cut all the pieces.ohhhhh you better take your time and read it right lol. I have never done anything by her but I decided her books were worth buying.

So I am doing her sample quilt of 17 inch blocks..so far I have done the middle of the block tonight. It was something else but I managed. I am showing you a pic of the block from the book, then all the pieces cut to make the block then some parts of the middle and then the middle, Lore!

I have it on the pad blocking it into a perfect 8.5, can't wait to do the rest tomorrow. The is her book of rectangles and I have never done them so this will be a learning curve for me.

I've made a few of her quilts and you're right--it's a different way to cut & quilt. I love how they turn out but getting to the end is quite a journey. I found if I label each piece (A-1, C-3, etc.) as I cut that's the only way I can keep them straight--some are only an 1/8" different in size. Your colors are lovely and your piecing is great--I can't wait to see your finished project.

I've only made one of her patterns 'flying home', its my-avatar. Her methods are amazing & yes, you must take time and reread her instructions. the results are great!!!
