I've started a new little wall hanging so I can try my hand at a Dresden plate design. The pattern is called Dresden Lane (Quiltmaker - May/June 2010). It calls for embroidery in the circular center and then you stitch around the "plates" with a running stitch. Very basic but I thought a good one to try Dresden on.

Thanks. I thought for this one, instead of doing the mailbox that was shown in the pattern, I'd use the center and put my label there.

This pattern was soooo easy to do. Yes, Connie...I will show you and you will agree. What do you think about using this yellow pattern for the center and background?

I think it looks nice. Im trying one too but haven't sewn it together yet..just cutouts. Am looking for Air Force fabric, have only 4 to go on it so far. Joann only had the Fleece in A.F.
Anybody knows where i can find any? It's for my SIL, who deserves to be known that he's appreciated.
