Chele--your use of color has always amazed me. Coming from you, this is high praise. I've loved every block you've posted!

The block is called New York Beauty, and the sites Steve quoted are good sources. There's a step-by-step picture tutorial at the quilterscornerclub site that's very helpful. I'm sure it could be template-pieced, but paper piecing is the fastest method and maybe the most accurate. There are also pieced curves in both arcs for an additional challenge!

Thanks to everybody for your kind comments! I gave the quilt to the Parents-to-be yesterday and they liked it a lot.

Oh, what a great gift for that baby!! You do beautiful work. I wish I liked to paper piece to do quilts like this, but I just can't force myself to do them. So I will admire yours!!
