I made some new blocks, and did new other versions...difficult choice...

#1 for me. I love that effect. That would make a great border on a quilt.

I like #2 because:

a. there is no defined 'up' or 'down' when it lays on a bed

b. it won't matter how many 'rows' you use because the # of rows will balance themselves out.
