I really love this, love the fabric and colors of it, and it's a good hst design to try. And thanks for giving details about block and quilt size.

This afternoon I am in the process of trying to re-create this quilt top. I love it, but am sticking with my original idea to give it the quilt to an old, dear friend in a month or so. Finding I have little to no scraps of the original top's fabric to use but think I can still capture the feeling. Believe it's the warm reds that sang to me and I can always get it LAQ'd with the same panto. Maybe, just maybe I'll like the second top even more.

Yesterday, I decided to do this so spent a lot of time in the sewing room cutting out 7" squares. I over did it, and probably now have enough cut for 3 lap quilts. I may sew all of them up, or I may give one away to a friend as a "quilt kit".

    Stay tuned.....
