I see your beautiful quilts and wanted to show something I've worked on for a while. It's called Wink and a Smile and then the next picture should be a close up. The third picture is using strips and it's one for our Wounded Warrior porject. I should have not used so many light strips but live and learn. I wanted to say that [email protected] quilted these for me. He used a beautiful LQ quilt pattern and both quilts were finished in a few days. A friend also gave him two to LA and he is quick-- believe me. If you are in the NE FL area or want to mail him your top he'll be there to LA your quilt tops. Sounds like an advertisement doesn't it. Anyway, happy quilting.

Where did you get the pattern for Wink and Smile? I think I would make this one.

Actually it took me about 3 year to finish it. I procrastinated because I lost the pattern. Wouldn't you know it. I hope someone here knows where to find it. There's another pattern almost like it but it uses a solid rectangle in the center instead of the 9 patch. The nine patches were collected from my quilting group in an exchange so actually quite a few people had a hand in this one. I still need to do the binding.
