So I decided to use a wine theme FQ to make a walllhanging to go above my fridge in the kitchen. I thought because of the colors in the FQ, a country theme would be nice, and it'd be nice in my kitchen. I used M'Liss Rae Hawley's pattern "Windows" from this book http://www.amazon.com/Phenomenal-Fat...d_bxgy_b_img_b
But I am not sure I like the end product, I like the pattern a lot, but I think the colors are just too mute for my taste. Well, my husband declared it nice and hung where I had planned. Oh well, it'll be there until I make something I like better

Oh, BTW, I just realized after it was hung, that I have my grape vines upside down  The quilt measures about 25'' square.

The colors are pretty. But the nice thing about a quilt is that it can be replaced later when another idea strikes

I think it is very attractive. Sometimes when I first finish a quilt I'm so tired of working on it that I don't like it. Let a little time pass, and you will probably start to love it again.

Well done on finishing a project and getting it hung.
I understand what you mean about the colours (but then again, I never use country colours at all). I still think you should be proud of your work. Maybe you could do four seasons of quilt for that spot- (it would probably suit autumn better than spring?)
