Default Nothing But Pride

A little while back, I made a post called Pride and Jealousy, and another called Pride and Jealousy Part 2. I was caught between being proud of my son's hard work, and jealous that his points were nicer than mine ! He entered that very same quilt into the County Fair this year, and all my thoughts of jealousy have faded away, because there is way too much pride and excitement for those thoughts to stay. Our local County Fair opened on Tuesday, but we were unable to make it until Wednesday. This is what we found when we arrived in the arts and crafts building.

You can not really see those ribbons too well from this far away … let me zoom in for you.

Better, but just in case you can not quilt see it …

Do you see that blue FIRST PLACE ribbon hiding under the participation ribbon on the left ? That is right !
1st PLACE – Jr Division – Quilt, Any Size, Machine Quilted !

See that BIG Yellow ribbon ?
BEST SEWING Junior Division !!! That covers the ENTIRE sewing division !!!
Here is my oh so proud son with his quilt ! They hang the quilts up above so they can not be molested , so you can not see the entire quilt ( it is partially folded over due to size )
