I'm starting this table runner this week. I am using fall colors and using the off center log cabin block. I seem to like the log cabins. This is my 3rd real project. My last was that Harley Wall Hanging.

I am learning to paper piece on this one. It will be 3 full "circles" with each end being rounded off by cutting off the creams/whites.

At least that is what I see in my head....

Anyone else done a quilt in this pattern? Can you post pix on here so I can see some?

Thanks,
Tracy

Here is one my quilt shop instructor was part of....it raised $4000 in raffle ticket sales!!!

This is the one I saw that got me started.

Made by the Carolina Pine Quilters in Aiken SC.
Here is a link to site with more pix of it's quilting.

I love log cabin blocks and the off center one is one I've wanted to try, especially in this heart layout http://www.geocities.com/pcpiecers/heartquiltmini.html

Very pretty! Those are my favorite colors!! I did that exact same pattern--in the same hues! The pattern called to put them all in circles, but I have a hard time following all the directions  ...so I did a barn raising design instead.

Here you go.....

#3 I ended up doing this.

#2 And I thought about this idea.....

#1 Was supposed to look something like this....

Then I used the orphan squares to make this....

I'm working on a project right now using a log cabin design--but I'm going to keep it a secret because I'm supposed to be finishing table runners. Shhhhhhh. 8)

Good luck finishing yours--it's going to be beautiful!!

I just love all these fall colors! Apparently I have entirely skipped the fall and started preparing for Christmas. It will take a miracle to get all the quilts in my head finished by then! Both of you made amazing fall quilts--I love the log cabin blocks!
