I thought I would share my Holiday Christmas Tree with you!
This is my original design and through trial and error, this is how it turned out. I started with 1/4 inch hexagon shapes using the English paper piecing method. I then appliqued the whole tree to the background fabric. I used embroidery floss to outline the candle flames and tree topper. I used micro lights that are battery operated. I punched holes through the back of the hexagons and strung the lights. I made the chain using 1/8" ribbon. I found the "NOEL" letters and ball ornaments at the local beading shop.
I entered it in our small local county fair and took first place. I do you you like it.
