I made this potholder for a guild exchange, but since I wasn't able to go last night, I guess I get to keep it. The points are not done well, but since the pieces are so small, I am not too worried about it. I counted how many pieces are in this one... 84!

I really like it!

Am just in the process of finishing up a couple of potholders for DDIL...need to get them in the mail to her for her birthday. Was sort of following patterns, but mostly just trying to copy pictures...so the two ended up different sizes, which I guess I should correct.

I made the mistake of using binding rather than the turn method. Probably won't do that again. It really doesn't add to the look.

I like yours better :-)

That potholder can come live with me. I love the colors and what a lot of work, but it turned out beautifully.

My husband suggested I give it to my MIL as a thank you for watching our kids for the next couple of days, since I go back to work tomorrow. I am debating. It really doesn't match her kitchen, but I know she would like it.

(I seem to be "competing" with my husband's ex-wife when it comes to quilty things for my MIL. She sends my MIL something a few times a year. My husband and she have been divorced for over 20 years and I've been married to him for over 10 years!)

That turned out really nice! I do like the colors you used. The print is bigger than I would use but that is just my eye! I love country prints. This one is very pretty!! You did a good job on accuracy or it wouldn't look as good as it does! Everything I make has mistakes in it. The trick is to just ignore them or close your eyes to them and go on!! I can point out every error in everthing I make!! We aren't perfect but we are quilters!! LOL
