I made this quilt a number of years ago for my oldest DGD, when she got her big girl bed. I used the quilt smart pattern for the flowers. I had not been quilting very long but it turned out very nice. Had it LAQ by a local man. He did a nice job with big flower design. I made the shams, pillows and a valance to match. Of course she makes quilts now and she likes different designs so this one is in a spare bedroom. Thanks for taking the time to look. You are all so wonderful with your quilts. :D

Perfect quilt for a little girl graduating to a big girl bed. I think maybe your tastes have changed quite a bit over the years too looking at the difference between this quilt and the beauty in your avatar! It is fun to see how our styles and tastes change in our quiltmaking over the years.

Wow, this is just the inspiration I need to get going. My sweet granddaughter is getting a big girl bed this summer..........thanks for posting this beautiful photo. I think my girl is going to be a sewer.....I started gradually exposing her to my Featherweight when she was 2. She hasn't gotten to sew all that much, but always wants to at my house. Last night she tells me she wants a machine just like my Viking #1+. I told her she might get it in the will. lol Meantime, I hope she will get a good old Singer or one that is metal and very reliable. Sure don't want her getting frustrated, ya know? LOVE your quilt and pillows.
