I made this quilt top about twenty years ago. My grandmother was very fine quilter and I thought mine wasn't as good as hers. So I put it away. Then I joined this board and all the members seemed so encouraging, I dug it out and decided it wasn't so bad. DMyers quilted it. She was so patient with me and did such a beautiful job. I am proud to say here is my very first quilt.

It's so pretty! I love the cool greens, monotone isn't easy to pull off, but you did a wonderful job! Love the pieced back too. I piece almost all of mine, it adds a nice element of surprise, and you get to use up leftovers!

Yes, you should be proud. You did a great job. Love your backing, too.

The back looks like a cool piece of modern quilt. Cool, you've made a 2-in-1 reversible quilt!

I love it! My very 1st quilt was a sampler, too (a great way to be introduced to quilting, I think) but trust me... it didn't look half as fabulous as yours does... LOL! I love the colors you used in this! Someone else said it & it't true... monotone isn't easy to pull off! But you sure did it!
