If you thought it needed toning down, it probably would have made you crazy every time you looked at it. I like the effects of the 2nd one. I myself, am not an "orange" person, and I think you did a really good job toning it down

Wow, wonderful solution and a great deal of work. I cannot tell you pieced and stitched down your blue fabric down your sashing. I am really impressed with your changes and love them. Shows what a creative mind can accomplish.

Yes, I could not have gone on without fixing it! If I had used narrower sashing, it would've accented the blocks better, but doing the topstitching really pushed the bright orange back and brought everything else forward.

I took a close-up so everyone can see my salvage job! haha!
