    attached is a disappearing 4-patch block I made from a charm set I bought by Moda... I am not sure if I should proceed with it or not.... would you?

    Why not? It is meant to be colorful and bright. If you don't like the look, I'm sure a teenager in your acquaintance might like it very much.

    I love it. The colors will make a really happy quilt. Take one of those lens thingies that multiply your block and look at it that way to see if you would like a bunch of them. Also a child's kaleidoscope might work.

    I think once you get a few more blocks done and layed out together you will like it a lot better. I've made blocks that I felt "iffy" about and then once I did several more, really liked them. Occasionally I've run across some that after 4 I said okay, I was right, I don't like it but you really need at least four blocks done before you decide. Or at least that's my hho. (humble honest opinion)
