Default Owl baby quilt

I made this for very good friends of ours when their new baby girl was born a three weeks ago. It was like a wee recovery quilt for myself as it was the first quilt I made after my mother died in October and got me back to the machine. I see thepic is still a little too big but I can sort that out now I think. Pattern was something simple for me and the parents like something a little retro so it fitted their tastes well.

Good that you have the quilting hobby for therapy. I'm sorry to hear of your loss. We are in the process of losing my mother-in-law (hospice was just arranged for today). She told me how comforting a home-made lap quilt was to her in her nursing home room. Someone once made a bunch of beautiful lap quilts and donated to them our local nursing home.

That is so sweet. Adorable for a little girl. Owls must be the thing this year. I've seen quite a few quilts with owls.
Great Job!
