I thought I would share the progress I am making on my Mom's quilt. This is my first paper piecing project. I didn't have a pattern to do this, so drafted from scratch.

I've been taking so long to do it - not because of its complexity, but because mentally I think it's above of what I am capable of. Can't begin to tell you how many seams have been ripped (yes, even with paper piecing). Mainly because I've been lining up (well trying to) the strips in the fabric.

As you can see I haven't cut out the pieces for the center yet.

I could never tell from looking at it that you were having a hard time with it. It is going to be absolutely beautiful.
