Deb, so sorry to hear of your Mothers passing.
Doesn't matter how old they are ARE how old we are, we still miss our Mothers.
Passage quilts are a loving and thoughtful gesture.

My condolences on the loss of your precious Mother. I have not heard of the tradition of passage quilts. So thank you for taking the time to explain and post pictures. It is a very beautiful and respectful way of marking the passage of this life to the next. Thank you.

I'm so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful story. I know that something like that would have helped me when my husband passed away. I'm going to tell my quilt guild about it and maybe we can start something like your guild and make these for our local Hospice, nursing homes, and funeral homes. Thank you for sharing.

I lost my mom when I was 37 years old and that was in 1988 and to this day I still miss her. Time has healed the heart break and I now just remember the great times we had. The quilts are absolutely wonderful. I have had to watch two people being taken out in a body bag and it is so difficult. Bless you all for making these wonderful quilts. I pray the good times you had with her will soon be your rememberance of her.
