    I hope I don't sound stupid, but is the thread painting like where the quilt lines are ? I love what you did and am just trying to understand it better, thanks for your patience

    There are no stupid questions. yes quilting with a twist, it helps to define, highlight, shade, and add details. It can also be called Thread Play. But all of this does quilt it at the same time. It also can be done with heavy thread like 30wt. but is hard to find in solid colors. On the board is the cone flower i did, this time i had used 2 strands of 40wt. through one needle to get a heavy thread painting effect. Hope i am explaining it good enough to understand.

    That is beautiful...but I do not think I have the patience to see a project like that through to the end...
