Default Patriotic patchwork ball & quilt

A few years ago I posted a thread about a patriotic quilt we did for my son while he was in Iraq. The quilt was of flags and we had family and friends write messages on the white stipes with permanent markers. He was thrilled when he got it and it stayed on his bed the whole time he was in Iraq and now rests on the back of his sofa where he is stationed in Belgium.

The patchwork puzzle ball is of Jinny Beyer design from her book and I am continuing to make patchwork balls for each of the quilts we've made. I couldn't write messages on the ball so I wrote words that represent our troops wherever they are around the world.

    Hope you enjoy.

Very cool! I have a similar ball pattern I use to make Hacky Sacks for the kids.

Very nice so no wonder why he still uses it on his sofa. The ball is adorable.
