patriotic quilts, labor day to memorial day

Thank you for the compliments !!! My husband built the house for us in 2002, and the back porch was open and a few years ago he closed it in and turned it into a sun room. At first I was hesitant when he said that he wanted to close it in because I loved the open feeling but it still has the open feeling and now we can use the room all year. It is definitely my favorite spot in the house and we basically live out there. Here are a few of the "before" pics so you can see the difference.

I love your quilts and your room, also! I love all of the light, and it looks like your plants do, too! My MIL, Clara Joan Pinkerton, lived in ALBQ until her recent death. My SIL is there making arrangements, and my husband is flying there tomorrow, for a service on Sat. at her church. We will also have a service here in TX in May. We love ALBQ and have visited there many times in the past 20 years.
I am going to have to save this for when we build our house.

Thank you my dear and I am so sorry to hear about your MIL. If you get back to Albuq. pm me and come see me. I lived in Houston long ago and have been to Galveston many times - love it too. I think that is why I love RWB - because of my fond memories of TEXAS. Thanks again.

As everyone else has already said, JUST BEAUTIFUL!!! If you don't mind me asking, what is the pattern for the one hanging above the table? I would like to put that on my "to do" list when I leave the "beginner" status in quilting. I just love pinwheels and this quilt really shows them off. Thank you for showing us part of your heaven.
I found my pattern for the wall hanging quilt above the table:
Colors of Courage "66 x 72", By Pam Porter of Quiltin' Bee-Cuz,
I am not sure that it is still available but hopefully you can find one. I buy books and patterns and sometime is seems that years fly by before I get to make them and I have had this one for a while. I left off part of the border because I thought it may be too big to hand in my spot above the table.
