Default Patriotic runner -- finished just in time to mail out

I made this table runner for my DS and DDIL. I'd seen a picture of the RWB design in a lap quilt and made it fairly simple using strips and HSTs. For the reverse side (with cream), I used the "quick" pattern designed for border fabrics, but I sewed strips together and then cut the 60 degree triangles.

In retrospect, it would have been easier to make two separate runners than one reversible one...it was hard to figure out how to quilt it. Ultimately I did SITD around the blue stars and then some diagonal stitching.

The pictures are not great -- taken with my iPad (the camera on the iPad 2 isn't great). As far as I can tell, you can't upload pix from an iPad to this site, so I had to transfer them to my laptop before sending them here.

Thanks for looking!

I do like your patriotic table runner and the quilting came out nice. I can see why you wished you had just made two but we are always learning. Great job on this one though. I love the simplicity.

I wanted to do a patriotic table runner and did. Both sides could be the "up" side. But you are right, quilting can quickly become an issue. Very, very nice.

Very nice - I love the simplicity of the quilting you did. The stars "pop".
