honest opinion - pinwheels & symbols clash.
I would probably use solid color blocks instead picking up some color from peace symbols.

Do the same with the pinwheels & you'll end up with 2 quilts or a double sided one.

I have a 12 yo DD and she would LOVE this quilt. The brighter and busier, the better. Great job

I agree. This is a beautiful quilt for the dreams of a 12 year old girl.

I would put the pinwheels together in the center and then surround it with the peace symbols all going in the same direction. Or maybe take the pinwheels and peace signs and put a black sashing between them.....very thin 1 1/2 to 2 inch but no bigger. That would separate them some.....maybe even add some solids in there too if you use sashing.
There is no where for the eye to rest when looking at this quilt. Kids do love busy...but you wouldn't ask us if you didn't think something could make it better! I would rather see a solid yellow pinwheel too.

Busy is not always bad. I like it but that isn't important. Will she enjoy it and feel special because she got this wonderful quilt. That is the important part.
