I made the king-sized rail fence quilt with 2 sets of matching shams for my best friend, Sam, in honor of her 50th birthday and our friendship of 35 years. The Sawtooth Star w/2 sets of matching pillowcases was made for her 55th birthday, and 40 years of friendship. If I could have a sister, it would be her. The Rail fence has 440-4½" blocks. Both quilts came from 'Quick Quilts from Your Scrap Bag'. I am getting better at using my digital camera and being able to post pics. Thanks for looking. Both quilts were the first time I ever made those patterns and I loved them.

King-sized rail fence, made of scraps except for the borders.

Made 2 sets of sham to match, she couldn't find any to go with the quilt

Wonderful quilts - I love that rail fence! I think long-lasting friendships are amazing and your quilts are definately a fitting tribute.
