Smile Pictur of my first quilt "Christopher's Quilt"

This is my first quilt, well I did a pillow top (hand quilted) maybe 30 years or more ago, so I'm not counting that. I made this with finished 9 inch squares, appliquéd on some of them with cut outs of cars and school bus, and patches of items some with his name from some of his cloths, baby bibs, etc. The back is Cars material from the W. Disney movie "Cars". It has a broken yellow line down the center of the road. For quilting I did a stitch in the ditch on the top and I stitched on the yellow lines on the back. Defiantly not perfect, but lots of fun and my ggson loves it. Of course his name is Christopher (don't know if we should names quilts after people or not but I did) and he is five and a half years old.
Now my only real problem is, controlling my desire to retire and do this all the time.

I've been retired for 2 years now and highly recommend it!!! No clocks are set for 6am anymore. The only thing I have to wake up for is when I keep my grandson. He doesn't know what later is.

Both sides of the quilt are very interesting and for a small boy they are perfect and he will enjoy this very much. I can see lots more quilts in your future and look forward to your post.

Great quilt. Your DGS will have fun sleeping under it for years to come.
