You could draw the little birds on black fabric and use heat n bond to place them in the pie. be sure to leave one that is escaping through the crust, for fun look.

I made these last year but I had so much trouble finding the right color of ric rak for the edges. Everyone loved them, but they do make you crave pie!

Where is everyone finding fruit fabric? I looked on several sites without any luck, maybe I'm not looking in the right places. Thank all of you for your help, Michele

I found the pattern, fruit fabric and rick rack on the Pacific Fabrics site. They did have kits at one point but are sold out right now. Their delivery was really quick!
