Below is a pic of some pillowcases I've been making for the "1 Million Pillowcase Challenge". If you have some extra fabric in your stash that you can't imagine what to do with it, then this is a very worthy cause! Here's a link to a website with the details of it:

http://www.allpeoplequilt.com/millio...ses/index.html

Basically, you make pillowcases that are then donated through your LQS to local charities, such as battered women's shelters, foster homes, etc. I like the fact that the results of your work are donated locally to do good within your own community (which saves postage, too!) The website has a page to search for your state and see what LQSs participate, and also has various patterns to download. A great cause!

I've been making pillowcases as well. I think it's great and anybody can do them. They have a few different patterns or you can just make something up.

Beautiful, Eddie. As a matter of fact, I just printed out all the different pattern yesterday. I have so much fabric that needs to be used -- this is an excellent way to use it up.

Nice pillowcases Eddie. Did you use a gathering foot for the ruffle?

No, I did a basting stitch across them and then pulled them up into a ruffle that I then basted onto the case. Then I stitched the band on through all the layers.
