There is a custodian at school who takes exceptional care of me...always has hot water during the day for my tea, saves the crossword puzzle in the paper for me and always lets me know when there are 'goodies' in the faculty room. I though a nice way to show appreciation was to make a quilt for her as a gift for her new great granddaughter.....no charge....(one hand washes the other!)

Pattern is of my own design - thought I am sure there are others who have the same design style

Wow, I really like it . Anyone that goes the 2nd mile like that should be told or shown that their actions are appreciated.

Beautiful quilt. I was always told to be nice to the school custodian, too. Sounds like she was good to you.

I have been in the school system for 27 years. Always was encouraged to make friends with the custodian first, the secretary second....have always kept that policy and it has certainly afforded kindness that others in the building just never seem to get!
