I finally got this finished. For some reason, as much as I enjoyed designing and creating this quilt, I just could NOT get into quilting it... and I'm afraid it shows. But it is finished except for the binding, and when I get that on, I plan to donate it when I find a small child in need of a hug.

The embroidery designs came from here:
http://www.oregonpatchworks.com/collections.php?id=MED
The layout is my own.

I am going to make another of these one day, when I think I can get in the mood to quilt it!

That's beautiful!!! I love monkeys, toucans, and pirates.

Just visit a local childrens home or hospital, you'll find so many children that need hugs you won't have time to make quilts for all of them. Have you considered donating it for a fund raiser for the pediatrics ward of a hospital or for something for a childrens' home? Just a thought.

I love this little quilt!!!! It's so cheerful!!!! As far as the quilting is concerned..........if that's your "I could just NOT get into quilting it" skill, I can't even begin to imagine what your "real" skill would look like!!!!! Your quilt and quilting are lovely!!
