Default Plaid log cabin - FINALLY finished!

I made this quilt top 18 years ago for my DH for our 2nd wedding anniversary - I wanted to hand quilt it, but after I did 2 blocks I decided that it wasn't "my thing" and I put it away! My Dh actually stopped asking me about it about 10 years ago! This year was our 20th anniversary and I decided that I should really finish it! I spent an entire weekend at "Quilt Camp" at a LQS quilting it on my machine and...I FINISHED IT! It looks great on our bed and he LOVES it! Thanks for looking! Hopefully this will work - I've never posted a photo before, so I'm crossing my fingers!

I absolutely LOVE this quilt! You did a fantastic job - so what if it took a little longer than first planned? It's done and it's beautiful!

Wow! That is so cool. It looks really, really hard. It would have been a terrible shame to never finish it. Your description makes it sounds like maybe this was a first quilt. Was it?

Thank goodness he asked about it and that you finished it. I love it. Someday I want to make the log cabin pattern. It turned out just lovely.

I think it was actually my second quilt. If you look close - please don't! - you can see that I hadn't yet learned that I should have been squaring it up as I went along! I waited until each block was totally done and then squared up, so some of the outer "logs" are VERY narrow! OH WELL!
