Default Planning new quilt from old scraps

I made this quilt back in 2008 and still have all the scraps. This quilt started out as an Irish Chain and ended up as a Trip Around the World. There is lots of fabric left over:

Here are the scraps

and what I am planning

What I had from the first attempt

After sorting and confirming there is enough fabric I will be altering these blocks to enhance a single Irish Chain going through the alternating blocks.

This is how I spend my time!
peace

Thanks for sharing your technique; it is most helpful to see how you do it. Fabulous quilts .... the one from scraps is the best.

I love the way you are using up the scraps. It is going to be beautiful and everyone will think that you bought the material special. Great idea, and look forward to the finished quilt.
