Wow, that "1963 Kenmore Rare Pearl Iris color" looks like a work of art! Beautiful!

Eddie it is a true pearl paint on the machine. It's a lavender with red pearl over tones and a clear over it.

Back when this paint was made they used fish scales to come up with the pearl effect. So this was a very expensive color to use and there were less than 3500 of these machines made this model and color.

It certainly is beautiful, if I had it I think I would be content to sit and look at it like a fine painting. :D It kind of reminds me of those finned cars from the late 1950s when car makers were taking cars to a true art piece. Sleek and beautiful.

It's absolutely to die for, I've never seen one before and doubt I ever will again ... what a beauty!

My machines are just regular ole' machines :oops: but I love each of them - one in particular...

These are all Singers - when Singers were really Singers and not made in China or wherever out of plastic and chewing gum...
