    Red face Practicing with Minky

Pushed aside all my UFO's for the day and decided to play around with some minky fabric. I truly do not do well with any type of fabric that stretches but thought I would give this a try.
I made a Lovie blankie with matching Bunny Ear teething ring. (blanket is just 16" sq)

I figured if I kept it 'small scale' I might do better, plus I wouldn't end up wasting so much fabric. I was surprised at how well this turned out. Although the name isn't as easy to read as I would have liked (Zoey) I think that was more a poor choice of fonts.

Love your fabric colors......I did a 36" flannel and minky blanket and I too was surprised about how easy the minky was to work with. It did stretch some but I could work with it. Good job....love the green with the pink!♥

I think if I try anything bigger than this it will be flannel on one side and minty the other.
As a matter of fact, one of my UFO's is a larger baby quilt I might try a minke backing on.

Thank you...although you can't really tell from the photo but both sides are actually minky.

Great job! Is the teething ring natural wood with the fabric tied on? I know someone who is teething right now and I would like to make one.
