    So sorry to hear about the young man. I hope his recovery is going well. He will enjoy the quilt for a long time.

    Where is he?? I am in SC and there is a big training base about 35 miles from me. DH is retired army.

    He's currently at Fort Gordon Army Hospital in Georgia. Long story short: he had a sinus infection which turned into a staph infection effecting his brain, developed a blood clot in the brain giving him a stroke. Effected his speech center and has paralysis on one side of the body. He's 19 yo. It will be a long recovery process for he and his family. They are all far from home, in unfamiliar surroundings, with no immediate family for support. We in turn are sending as much support as we can. Thank you all for prayers and good thoughts.
