I made this as a Valentine's Day pressie for my younger daughter, who likes all things girlie. The pattern is really simple, and it went together quickly. I used my meager machine quilting skills to stitch in the ditch--otherwise she wouldn't have gotten it until NEXT Valentine's Day!

Your daughter must be "tickled pink" with her Valentine surprise. It is a wonderful girlie girl quilt. I have a daughter who loves all things pink too!!

beautiful quilt and a great job. good stitch-in-the-ditch isn't easy.

i can see the block pattern, but are the colors randomly placed?

Very pretty and the colors are just perfect. I bet your daughter snagged that one up and wouldn't share. Yummy!

Oh, how funny! I have a cherry surprise quilt, too! (Mine has appliqued cherries on it and a huge one on the back. There is a picture on here somewhere. Probably a week or so back in the pictures thread.)

I love yours (or, rather, your daughter's). You have some very very pretty fabric in there. I like each and every one! It is such a feminine, girly quilt. You hit the nail on the head here!

Lisa, after I posted I noticed that yours was called Cherry Surprise, too! When I was trying to figure out what to call it, that name just popped ionto my head--must have been because I saw the posting of your beautiful quilt! Thanks for the suggestion!
